TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT AND PERFORMANCE OF MICRO ENTERPRISES: A QUALITATIVE PARADIGM
Keywords:
Transport, Infrastructure, Investment, Micro enterprises, NigeriaAbstract
The government's current focus on the rail sector has elicited varied sentiments and reactions from the public. Scholars disagree on how much they think the investment will help microbusinesses. Using this as a starting point, the authors aimed to explain how investments in Nigeria's transport network affected small businesses. Because of the reliance on in-person interviews, the research took a qualitative approach. In the research on the impact of rail transport infrastructure investment on microenterprises in Nigeria, two main themes emerged: market growth and wealth generation. The study advocates for increased investment in developing countries' rail sectors, which confirms the importance of transport investment beyond macroeconomic dynamics.
