ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION AND GROWTH OF SMEs IN KOGI STATE, NIGERIA

The paper investigates impact of entrepreneurship orientation and growth of SMEs in Kogi state. The research utilized a survey approach and administered questionnaires to gather and analyze data. In analyzing the data descriptive and inferential statistics were employed, and the regression analysis with the aids of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26.0 to test the hypotheses. Results revealed that Entrepreneurial Orientation contributes positively and significantly to growth of SMEs in Kogi state. The research concludes that entrepreneurship orientation has positive and a significant effect on development of SMEs in Kogi state. It was recommended in the study that promoting creativity among business owners will foster innovation, supporting small entrepreneurs with government policies, and considering individual characteristics that may influence the impact of entrepreneurship orientation on SME growth.
